Accessibility of the Charlieu Museums
The Charlieu Museums are located in the former Hôtel-Dieu of the town, a building dating back to the 18th century. They are situated at the back of the large Sisters' garden, accessible via Boulevard Leclerc or Rue Vitaut.
Parking is available on Boulevard Leclerc or in the parking lot of the Charlieu radiology center. For people with reduced mobility, it is allowed to bring a vehicle closer to the entrance. To do this, please contact the Museums team in advance so that we can move the bollards at the entrance.
Spatial organization of the Museums:
Hospital Museum: entirely on the ground floor, only the small garden facing the street has steps.
Silk Museum: entirely on the ground floor (including the machinery and the audio-visual room).
Temporary Exhibition: on the first floor of the building, without an elevator.
Chairs are placed throughout the museum routes. The Museums team is available to assist visitors with any necessary help.
